We ♥ Pets is now a licensed Rescue & Adoption center. Our mission is to be the first Pet Store to take a stand and make a real difference, not only in our community but nationwide. Recently We ♥ Pets has lost faith in the Hunte Corporation. We believe we can no longer guarantee the health & safety of our puppies prior to obtaining them. Our stores will have Puppies and adult dogs for adoption in need of loving homes. We have everything from litters of rescue puppies to retired mommy dogs who deserve a second chance at life. Our adoption process is fun, exciting and stress free. Our Media location was first to remodel. We have worked tirelessly to create an experience your entire family will cherish. We have been adopting now since January and are confident from the enormous support we have received that our hard work was well worth it. Adopting a pet is one of the most rewarding moments in a persons life & we are happy to be a part of this. Our Pet adoption counselors will work with you in making the adoption process a positive experience. Rescues, shelters and all their volunteers & employees in the Tri State area work extremely hard to do as much as they can to save lives. We ♥ Pets has joined the fight against the homeless pet population in becoming the first Pet Store Rescue. It is our responsibility to show that a Pet Store, with love and compassion for animals, can make a real difference in saving lives

Recently We Love Rescue Pets met with PA Dog Law Enforcement in Harrisburg, to discuss our Rescue, to address several false complaints. What we were able to determine was this. We are an official Rescue, licensed, inspected and following proper procedures. We have conducted ourselves in a professional manner, keeping accurate records and have had no issues or credible complaints. There are very few licensed Rescue organizations in Delaware County, so we urge you to do your homework prior to adopting. We also recently had the State Veterinarian examine our protocol, we go above and beyond with tremendous success. You can rest assured that we are a Rescue, are doing adoptions & above all are taking a stand for the animals here in PA. Anyone who questions We Love Pets and our work as a Rescue obviously has not seen the enormous effort we have put into our mission. However to the thousands upon thousands of people who have flooded our stores to show support recently we say thank you for not buying into the vendetta against us. People have asked us why we do not fight back, that is simple, the animals need our help and we refuse to take valuable time away from them. It is easy to hold a sign, but to work 18 hour days months at a time in converting your entire business to save lives, yeah I would say that is a Rescue. We live, breathe, work & play all at our Rescue. To drive across PA and surrounding areas and get dogs at risk of euthanasia or needing medical attention, that is a Rescue. That is what a Rescue does, put the animals first. As far as our adoption fees are concerned, we receive no donations, no free Veterinary Care, No free food or supplies, no volunteers, no TV commercials or charity events. We did this all on our own and to think anyone would attempt to say our adoption fees are a "rip off" obviously has never seen the current adoption prices at other shelters & rescues. We knew the people who have said for years they wanted us to do adoptions would attack us as we remodeled and began our Rescue, that is why we waited to announce our Rescue for almost 2 months after we began. The sad fact is not knowing the facts a few individuals immediately attacked us, they have no idea what we were doing. So much so they now have conflicting information and even a picture of a rescue breeding dog we saved from being killed that stated we were selling her for $500? I am sure you posted we had the dog spayed, given vet care and countless hours of working with her, all to adopt her out for $49.99. I don't waste time posting nonsense, I don't pay attention to the lies about me, but that was just downright disgusting. Do not pretend this is about the animals, because if it was you would of found out first what we were doing, as to not cause more animals to be euthanized by attacking us. We do however feel that many rescue and shelter organizations do an incredible job saving lives! We will continue to operate in a responsible, mature manner in the best interest of the animals. We can only hope others will do the same.
Easter Weekend Adoption Totals are In!

Take a look at some of our adopted doggies and their new family!
Momma, a cairn terrier, was our first retired mommy dog to get adopted. Her new family was super excited to give her the chance to be a puppy for the first time in 6 years. When we first picked up Momma she needed a lot of TLC to get her ready for a new home. Dr. Victor Menghetti DVM helped get Momma on the road to recovery and we worked with her everyday to get her comfortable to real love and affection. It did not take her long at all to realize we were there to help. She quickly became one of the best dogs we have ever seen. She now knows that for the rest of her life she is safe and loved, all she will ever need. Her new family members are some of the most caring & compassionate people we have had the pleasure to meet.
Update on Momma
Momma, now named Penny, visited us recently. She looks amazing! Her new family is taking incredible care of her. Penny is an example of how some love and affection, good food, grooming, vet care & a new family can make all the difference in a dog's life.
Our first official rescue puppy, a boxer/ bulldog/Pit mix, went home with one of our favorite regular customers. They were super excited to give her a great home. They were so excited they came back a week later and adopted her brother! Now 2 puppies found a great lifelong family together, all while remaining together. We adopted out 2 others from the litter and have 2 left awaiting the perfect home.
Update on the siblings
The trouble makers are doing good in their new home. Dad seems to be loving these guys, he spoils them already!
Our special little goldendoodle mix puppy came to us a little shy. We found that all he wanted was to cuddle up on your lap. So boy did we cuddle with this lil guy. His new family, who include a labradoodle & Toy Poodle, are in love with this fuzzy guy. He now has an awesome, loving home for life.
Never stop cuddling Doodle!
Update: Mom brought us in a video of her new baby, He is quite the playful guy now, with his new loving home.
Here is Doodles sister, with her new brother (schnoodle) and her people parents. An awesome home for this little girl. Congrats guys we are very happy for you!
Well as you can see she is settled right in with her new family. I think Dad may have lost his chair!
I would have to say over the years we have seen thousands offamilies excited to get a new dog. These guys are in absolute love with their new pup. Recently they told us she is an awesome dog and fits in perfect with their family. We are extremely happy for you all, just remember how much you love her if she eats the couch!
This little girl is ready for love, playtime & puppy kisses at the shore. With her new mommy she is ready to be loved for years to come. Congrats, we know she is perfect for you!
We have to say over the years we have had many of the "cutest puppies ever" but this lil guy takes the cake. He is lab/bulldog and Australian shepherd mix. His new family is super excited to show him off to the world. Good luck with your new pup guys!
Now that is a perfect match! Our little guy was one tough lookin pup, but he has a heart of gold. Ready to tear the house up!
